The Homewood Witches Ride is a fast-growing event. Last year, we had over 1,000 people join us in the park and over 600 witches take flight. Before you sign up to fly with us, here are a few things to remember.
When flying at high speeds, your hat might go flying.
Make sure you tie it on (like a bonnet).
Light up your bike! It gets dark quick and lights make it easier for you to be soon - plus it looks awesome!
As you plan your outfit, remember you are riding a bike...I mean broom! Get creative with your costumes and theme your outfits if you're riding in a group! Awards will be given out for best dressed!
Each witch is responsible for purchasing their own candy for the ride - buy more candy than you think! Everyone usually runs out and we don't want any sad little monsters on our watch.
Throwing candy while flying is harder than it looks. Make sure to secure your bag, pouch or basket where you can easily reach in and throw.
More is more when decorating your bike. Be sure to check out Dollar Tree, Dollar General, Wal-Mart and Target for the best cheap accessories.
Practice your cackle! Kids love hearing the witches cackle as they throw candy.
Be safe on your flight. We have a lot of witches flying with us. Be a defensive flyer and watch out for aggressive monsters getting candy.
Lastly - JUST HAVE FUN!
